Making Friends or making out?
I happen to chance upon a Forum article on Mr Brown's site entitled " Making friends or Making out? ". It was a letter written in by a concerned Aunt as her nieces and nephews had told her of the improper activities conducted during their University orientation in 2 different Universities in Singapore( may i mention that these activities are backed by the Social Development Unit?). And she mentioned games like getting guys to exchange sweets with female students as they sat in a circle and also things like getting a female to lie on the floor as a male student did push ups on top of her. ( *hello hot blooded male friends who read my blog, i know u guys very very well. my guess is that you are probably grinning with anticipation for your uni entrance in like 2-3 years time right? lol * )

But seriously...YUCKS! Not only is this not cool, its also not funny and very very very demeaning for the students. Apparently, one of the games was that girls was asked to pick guys they wished to pair up with and hence subjecting the less attractive girls to ridicule as the guys who were picked groaned and lamented to their friends about this undesirable pairing. Whatever, like the girls have any choice as well. And apparently, you also get labelled as " square" if you do not join in. Peer pressure much anyone?

I suppose an ageing population is rather undesirable but seriously, this is NOT the way to go about increasing our birth rate. On the ST forum site, some women suggested that if they wanted an increased birth rate so badly, they should just lock em up and make them watch porn instead. LOL. More effective. Too bad the government banned orgies though, if not i think the SDU might actually take this suggestion more seriously=)

But seriously, increased fornication does not equate to a better future for Singapore. So what if the birth rates increased, you might actually find yourselves with the problem of unwanted babies or a new generation that have seriously mental problems due to parental neglect. Ok i may be exaggerating but it is possible. The elders already lament that this generation of youths are a bunch of spoilt brats. Can you imagine the effect of 2 spoilt brats copulating and end up with an unplanned child whom they can't be bothered with cos they are self centred:) What a bright future we have.

Not only is this about Singapore but for the individual as well. How would you like if you knew that your boyfriend was out kissing some other girl " for fun " or if your girlfriend was found beneath another guy in a position that will make one blush even if both are fuly clothe? Not funny already right? And for those that are looking for potential partners, is this the way you wanna find them? *P.S dun mind my language=) *

Speaking from the perception of a close minded girlfriend, i swear i'll go up and punch that retarded girl that came into contact with my bf then i'll slap my bf for going on with it. Peer pressure MY ARSE LOL. There's something called morals and i think i see your's flying out the window:)*there it goes "bye bye..." * lol.

But i suppose its ultimately the organising comittee's fault. Its a university for god's sake, the people there can't be that much of a dimwitt can they? Its amazing that there are probably a whole group of them preparing the orientation program and none of them have the guts to voice their displeasure of these stuff. TSK TSK

Profile

Once upon a time...there was a girl who looks like a girl that was borned to a couple who was a girl and a boy together. Leaving their girl's name to the great divination of god she ended up being called HUI YU.This girl who was a girl then grew up very much like a boy. She then spent the rest of her youth in ST THERESA'S CONVENT and getting into wrong relationships. But that was until the girl realised that she had all along known a boy who was a boy whom she truly loved and loved her back:) The reletionship then blossomed naturally on 251106. Then this girl who is a girl who hated changes entered PIONEER JC with a friend count of 1. But slowly and surely...she made more and more friends and even joined BASKETBALL She is
LOVING HER LIFEnow. I would like to say that the girl's life ended Happily ever after...but the girl who was a girl knew that one should never count their eggs before it's in the basket. So she'll live life a lil at a time and enjoy what she has. THE END
